Getting Started
EverHome is a software suite that enables efficient and easy control of your home automation system. EverHome consists of a number of components to provide a complete software solution (view EverHome flowchart).
To begin experiencing what EverHome can do for you register at http://www.evertech.com.au if you have not already done so. Once you have registered you will receive an email to enable activation of your EverHome account.
Next, you need to set up an EverHome Server. The server must be set up on a computer that is networked to your home automation system. For instructions on how to set up the server please go to the Everhome Server section of the help documentation.
After the server is installed, you must create a config.xml file and place it in the appropriate location using the EverHome Configurator software. This defines the unique layout and controls of your system. For detailed instructions on how to do this go to the Configurator section of the help documentation.
Finally, to put it all together and start controlling your home automation system you need to use one of the EverHome Viewers. Based on what you have set up with the Configurator, the Viewer provides a graphical user interface to control your system. The Online Viewer is web based and requires internet access. The Offline Viewer is a standalone program that can be run on the local network of the server. Depending on which one you would like to use please go to the relevant help section for more information.
